The 92nd Academy Awards was a gala event watched world over by millions on their television sets with several popular films and artistes being honored with the prestigious distinction. This year's Oscar Awards once again had taken place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California and was presented by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).

There were a total of 24 categories in this year's Oscars with the South Korean black comedy thriller film, Parasite, directed by Bong Joon-ho taking home four Academy Awards. Apart from Parasite, blockbuster American director Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood secured two awards, which included the Best Production Design and Brad Pitt winning the Best Supporting Actor. Joaquin Phoenix, who delivered an iconic performance in Joker, took home the honors as the Best Actor while actress Renée Zellweger was adjudged the Best Actress for a memorable presentation of her acting skills in Judy.

Among the several highlights during at the star-studded ceremony, fans across the world were also treated to a song performance by American rapper of Indian origin, Utkarsh Ambudkar. Seen in starring roles in several notable Hollywood films including Pitch Perfect, Basmati Blues, Blindspotting, he will be make appearances in the Disney biggie, Mulan, and the Ryan Reynolds' sci-fi comedy venture titled, Free Guy. Utkarsh Ambudkar's song during the Oscars 2020 was more of a recap of the evening and addressed the need for more emphasis on diversity, which went on to draw appreciation from Hollywood superstars like Brad Pitt and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
