Popular British actress and singer, Mya-Lecia Naylor, had died on April 7, earlier this year by hanging herself with the cause of death then being pronounced as suicide. The 16-year-old actress had starred in hit TV shows namely Millie InBetween and Almost Never, while also starring in the highly debated Hollywood film, Cloud Atlas, which had Tom Hanks and Halle Berry in the lead roles. Emergency services rushed to Mya-Lecia Naylor’s South London residence on April 7 to find that the teen star had hanged herself after which she was declared by the Croydon University Hospital authorities as dead. Ever since Mya-Lecia Naylor’s death, investigations were on and the coroner's report has now concluded the reason as death by misadventure.

It is said that Nya-Lecia had no intention to kill herself and was more due to an unfortunate misadventure. Death by misadventure in the United Kingdom is recorded by coroners on death certificates and related documents only when an accident takes place as a result of a risk that is taken on one’s own will. Mya-Lecia Naylor’s father, Martin Naylor, in a statement at the coroner's court said, "She had not been her normal self. She was stressed about her exams… I honestly believe she was just making some sort of point. I genuinely believe she did not mean to do it. It was a silly spur of the moment thing. She clearly had plans for the future,".
