Meryl planning holiday with husband
It’s been over 20 years since Meryl Streep and her husband Don Gummer holidayed alone. Just last year, they celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary and most of these years together have been spent in taking care of their four children: Henry, Mary, Grace and Louisa. Now that the last in their brood has turned 18, Meryl feels it’s ok and high time she and Don slipped away from their regular lives and took a break.
She says, "So much of your life focused on all�these kids. It's been 30 years now. Somebody has to be home in September for school, all of the time. And we've never made plans to go anywhere or do anything now for 30 years. Now we can. It's sort of great."
