One of the most up-and-coming and promising actors in Hollywood, Cameron Boyce, aged 20, passed away "due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated", according to an official statement. Having made his acting debut in films in the smash hit commercial and critical 2008 hit, Mirrors, He had gone on to make a name for himself in television as well starring in recurring voice roles in Ultimate Spider-Man (2014) and Spider-Man (2017). An official statement from Cameron Boyce’s family reads as follows: "It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron. He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him. We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother,".

Cameron Boyce, who also had acted in a few other hit films namely Eagle Eye, Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2, also had starring roles in the upcoming television series, Mrs. Fletcher and a television film titled Descendants 3; and both of them will now serve as posthumous releases. The director of Descendants 3 Kenny Ortega too took to his Instagram page to pen a heartfelt note about Cameron Boyce and is below:

A Disney Channel spokesperson too released a statement saying, “From a young age, Cameron Boyce dreamed of sharing his extraordinary artistic talents with the world. As a young man, he was fueled by a strong desire to make a difference in peoples’ lives through his humanitarian work. He was an incredibly talented performer, a remarkably caring and thoughtful person and, above all else, he was a loving and dedicated son, brother, grandson, and friend. We offer our deepest condolences to his family, cast mates and colleagues and join his many millions of fans in grieving his untimely passing. He will be dearly missed.”
