The entire world believes that the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus Pandemic, which is sweeping the globe, originated from the Wuhan Province of China. However, it looks like China itself has felt that the Virus is in control in their nation, while it continues to rage unabated in a number of other countries! A latest report states that Chinese Health Authorities have relaxed the formerly mandatory rule of wearing a face mask in public, especially in the capital Beijing! This has come on the back of the government wanting to relax rules, which had been in place to prevent the spread of the corona virus.
This relaxation has been brought into effect in Beijing, after the city did not report any new Corona Virus cases, in the last 13 days! However, media reports state that people are not taking any chances and are still continuing to wear their face masks, in public. A report by the international news agency Reuters has quoted a Beijing woman as saying, "I think I can take off my mask anytime, but I'll need to see if others accept it. Because I'm afraid that people would be scared if they see me not wearing mask." This is the second time since the outbreak of this Virus, that Beijing has relaxed the guidelines on face masks being mandatory!
Earlier, Beijing had removed the "face masks being mandatory in public" guideline in April. However, the guideline was brought back into effect after a new outbreak of the Corona Virus happened in June, in a wholesale market in Beijing. China has reported that there are no new locally transmitted cases on the mainland for the past five days, after successfully controlling outbreaks in Beijing, Xinjiang region and other areas! China has closed its borders for non-Chinese citizens and authorities reported 22 new imported cases of the Virus in the mainland, on August 20th! China has so far registered 84,917 cases of the Virus, since the outbreak happened! Stay tuned for updates...
