Sivakarthikeyan's spot gets taken by yet another actor

Mr. Local was initially planned for a release on May 1 with the spot eventually going to Gautham Karthik\'s Devarattam and a new competitor joining in the race now.

Yesterday (April 19) saw Studio Green officially announce the new release date for the upcoming Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara rom-com, Mr. Local, under M. Rajesh’s direction.

Announced now to come out in theatres on May 17, Mr. Local was initially planned for a release on May 1 and eventually led to a shuffling of the projects with Studio Green quickly revealing that their Gautham Karthik and Manjima Mohan starrer, Devarattam, under M. Muthaiah’s direction will instead be coming out on May Day.

That said, Mr. Local’s departure from the May 1 slot has now invited yet another competitor for Devarattam and in the form of the Arulnithi and Shraddha Srinath starrer, K-13.

A psychological mystery action thriller film, K-13 directed by Barath Neelakantan under the SP Cinemas banner with music by Sam C. S has now been certified ‘U/A’ by the censor board and will be hitting screens on May 1.
