Popular Malayalam song Jimikki Kammal from Velipadinte Pusthakam became a chartburtser of 2017 after it became viral. Noted singers Vineeth Sreenivasan and Renjith Unni sung this song composed by popular musician Shaan Rehman. The song had another popular version featuring superstar Mohanlal also.

Now it is all set to enter record books and create history by becoming the first Malayalam song to reach 100 million viewers on You Tube. Currently it has already crossed 99.2 million views. Sung with much gusto, this song had mixed elements of folk with contemporary music.

Its orginal version showcased a group of college youth cronning the song and dancing in their campus. Directed by Lal Jose, Mohanlal played the role of a professor named Michael Idikkula who develops a special bond with his students in the film.
