One of the most successful combos in Tamil cinema history, National Award winners, director Vetrimaaran and actor Dhanush are at present working on their upcoming next, Asuran, an adaptation of the novel, Vekkai.

It must be noted that this is the fourth time Dhanush and Vetrimaaran are together for a film after their previous ventures, Pollathavan, Aadukalam and last year’s hit action gangster drama, Vada Chennai.

Asuran being produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu’s V Creations will see Dhanush in dual roles with Malayalam actress Manju Warrier playing the female lead followed by Balaji Sakthivel as a policeman, Pasupathi in a vital supporting role and G. V. Prakash Kumar scoring the music.

Meanwhile, GV Prakash has been updating fans and followers on his Twitter page regarding Asuran with the composer now revealing that the film will feature a song on the lines of the smash hit "Otha Sollaala" from Aadukalam.

He further added that there will be more updates in the next two months since the team is in the early stages of composing after he announced last week that lyricist Egadesi has penned two songs in the upcoming action drama.
