Leading Tamil actor Karthi is celebrating his birthday today and the release plans of his next big film, Japan, have been announced by producers S R Prakash Babu and S R Prabu's blockbuster production-distribution banner Dream Warrior Pictures. Billed to be a fun-filled action entertainer, the upcoming film is being directed by Raju Murugan of Cuckoo, Joker, and Gypsy fame, and will arrive in theatres as a grand Diwali release this November. With wishes pouring in for Karthi from all quarters, Dream Warrior Pictures has also released a special video as a birthday treat for the actor and his fans introducing his character in the film, which is also releasing in Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.

Titled 'Who's Japan?', we see the build-up to the introduction of Karthi's character in the teaser, with the film's heroine Anu Emmanuel, followed by Pushpa fame Sunil, filmmaker Vijay Milton, veteran actor Chandrasekhar among others making appearances, to a powerful and rousing background score by National Award-winning music director G. V. Prakash Kumar. Karthi's character in the Japan intro video gives us a glimpse into his antics in the film and we can expect yet another entertaining performance from the actor, who looks to be at his comfortable best once again.

Japan is coming out hot on the heels of the phenomenal box office success of Karthi's Ponniyin Selvan: 2 and the actor will be looking to hit the bullseye once again this Diwali. The actor has delivered four back-to-back hits from 2022 starting with Viruman, Ponniyin Selvan: 1, and Sardar, including PS: 2, which was released last month, and saw him reprise his role as Vanthiyathevan. Japan is also Karthi's fifth Diwali release after All in All Azhagu Raja (2013), Kaashmora (2016), Kaithi (2019), and Sardar (2022), and the actor will be looking to make it a memorable outing once again.
