Actor Vishnu Vishal has denied being part of a big upcoming film owing to his other film commitments. For a while now, there have been reports stating that the actor-producer was being eyed for a key role in Dhanush's landmark 50th film, with the Gatta Kusthi star on Tuesday evening issuing a clarification on social media. Although not naming the film, Vishnu Vishal wrote on Twitter, "Unfortunately all the rumours which are doing rounds about me being a part of ‘ the movie’ is untrue … Although i would have loved to be a part of it .. Just to clarify… I could not accomodate it because of my other commitments… Best wishes to the team.. Sorry to all the fans🙏 (sic)".

There has been a strong buzz for some time that Vishnu Vishal was approached for an important role in Dhanush's D50, which will be produced by Kalanithi Maran under the prestigious Sun Pictures banner. The Jeeva actor was speculated to be playing Dhanush's sibling in D50, which will also reportedly include filmmaker-actor S. J. Suryah appearing in a pivotal role, with an official announcement on the cast and crew of the biggie still being awaited. At present, Vishnu Vishal has several promising projects starting with sequels like Indru Netru Naalai 2 and FIR 2 and upcoming films Mohandas and Aaryan that are in various stages of production, including a third-time reunion with hit director Ramkumar after Mundasupatti and Ratsasan under the Sathya Jyothi Films banner. The Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu star is currently busy filming Aishwarya Rajinikanth's Lal Salaam alongside Vikranth, which is billed to be a cricket-based film that will also see 'Superstar' Rajinikanth making an extended cameo as a character named Moideen bhai, with music being composed by A. R. Rahman.

Dhanush's D50, on the other hand, marks the two-time National Award-winning actor's second collaboration with Sun Pictures after Thiruchitrambalam, which went on to become a phenomenal box-office success in 2022. Although details regarding the project remain unknown, speculations are rife that the film is touted to be an intense social drama, with announcements regarding the director, the cast, and the crew expected to come out in the days ahead.
