Vishal was last seen in Veeramae Vaagai Soodum which opened to mixed reviews from the critics and general audience. The film, which is directed by debutant Thu Pa Saravanan, is currently streaming on the Zee 5 platform. Following Veeramae Vaagai Soodum, Vishal's next release in Tamil cinema will be Laththi, an action entertainer. The shooting of the film is nearing completion and it is expected to release in theatres very soon. Laththi will have Vishal playing the role of a police officer and it is going to be interesting to see what he has in store for the audience. The makers have now made a new announcement on Laththi and it has garnered the attention of the film buffs.

The first look poster of Laththi will be released on April 6, Wednesday, on social media and the FL will give us a sneak peek into Vishal's character in the film. Laththi is directed by debutant A Vinoth Kumar, a former associate of Gaurav Narayanan of Sigaram Thodu fame. Produced by Ramana and Nandaa under the banner of RaNa Productions, the film has music composed by Sam CS. Sunainaa plays the female lead in Laththi, marking her second outing with Vishal after Samar. The film has cinematography by Balasubramaniem and stunts choreographed by Peter Hein.

After completing Laththi, Vishal will be joining hands with director Adhik Ravichandran of Trisha Illana Nayanthara for an action entertainer titled Mark Antony. The film features SJ Suryah as the main antagonist and it is going to be exciting to witness the faceoff between him and Vishal. Produced by Mini Studio, Mark Antony will have music composed by GV Prakash Kumar. The film has been planned as a pan Indian flick - to be released in 5 different languages, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Happening and busy days ahead for Vishal.
