National Award-winning filmmaker Vetri Maaran's Viduthalai: Part 1 is the talk of the town and is basking in massive critical glory. The period crime drama film, which marks the debut of comedy actor Soori as a hero, and has him playing the role of a constable, while 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi makes a cameo appearance as the revolutionary Perumal "Vaathiyaar". Produced by Elred Kumar's RS Infotainment banner in association with Vetri Maaran's Grass Root Film Company, it has now been revealed that the Telugu version of Viduthalai will be released veteran producer-distributor Allu Aravind's Geetha Arts in April.
A picture of Vetri Maaran and Elred Kumar along with Allu Aravind has now confirmed the release plans for Viduthalai: Part 1's Telugu version. Based on a short story titled Thunaivan by writer Jeyamohan, who also co-wrote the screenplay, along with Vetri Maaran, the film continues to create a big debate on social networking forums, with praises pouring in for Soori and Vijay Sethupathi's performances, who are joined by actors Bhavani Sre, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon, Chethan, among others in key supporting roles. The film ended on a big note giving audiences a glimpse of what they can expect next in the sequel, Viduthalai: Part 2, which is set to come out later this year.
