Leading Tamil actor Ajith Kumar's Valimai released last month and took a stunning opening in theatres everywhere. Directed by H. Vinoth and produced under Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP banner in association with Zee Studios, the action thriller has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while the background score has been done by Ghibran. With Valimai currently going strong in theatres, the makers on Thursday released the much-awaited 'Naanga Vera Maari' video song, which is Ajith's introduction track in the film. Sung by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Anurag Kulkarni to the lyrics penned by Vignesh Shivan, this is the first time fans are watching the song after the Valimai's release in theatres.

Valimai showed Ajith in the role of a cop after seven years when he last donned the khaki in the 2015 film Yennai Arindhaal. The superstar is featured in the latest film in several high-octane action sequences, with the actor once again leaving everyone talking with his gargantuan efforts. Despite being an action film, Valimai has been made keeping family audiences in mind and there are plenty of emotions in the narrative that have left many satisfied. The film is yet again a massive box office success for Ajith after his last two ventures, Viswasam and Nerkonda Paarvai, released in 2019, went on to become raging box office money-spinners.

Apart from Ajith, Valimai's star cast also includes Telugu actor Kartikeya Gummakonda as the antagonist, with leading Bollywood heroine and Kaala actress Huma S. Qureshi playing the female lead, followed by Raj Ayyappa, Pugazh, Bani, Achyuth Kumar appeared in major supporting roles. With Valimai out in theatres, all eyes are now on Ajith's next, the tentatively titled AK 61, which marks the actor's third consecutive reunion with H. Vinoth and Boney Kapoor.
