Maamannan is the last film of Udhayanidhi Stalin as an actor that was directed by Mari Selvaraj and was released in theatres across Tamil Nadu on June 29. Now, the makers of the film have shared an exciting new update about the Telugu release of the film. Red Giant Movies has shared that the movie will release in the language as Nayakudu on July 14. It will be released in theatres by the distribution houses Asian Cinema and Suresh Productions. The makers of the film have revealed the announcement with a new poster featuring the caption “After conquering the box officer in Tamil, Blockbuster Maamannan is all set for a grand release in Telugu on July 14."

The film Maamannan is to release along with Sivakarthikeyan’s film Mahaveerudu, the Telugu version of the film Maaveeran, in theatres across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on July 14. The trail-blazing film Maamannan became a huge topic of discussion since its release and the film was also recently praised by ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth. Recently, the cast and crew of the film have been celebrating the success of the film in Tamil in a grand way with A.R. Rahman and 'Vaigai Puyal Vadivelu and with the reelase of the film in Telugu it calls for more celebrations.

Maamannan is a political drama film that has ‘Vaigai Puyal’ Vadivelu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Keerthy Suresh as female lead and popular Malayalam actor Fahad Faasil in an antagonistic role. The film also has Music composed by A.R. Rahman and the songs that were released before the release of the film also became a huge hit. It’s the third directorial venture of the trail-blazing director Mari Selvaraj after Pariyerum Perumal and Karnan. Maamannan is the first film of the director to release in Telugu.
