He has stated that he has been happy to know the amount of trust that fans and movie buffs have in him and said “However, it pains me to inform you all that the movie did not have a proper multi-language release across India because of Contract/ Content delay which has led to 350 Telugu premier shows overseas cancelled."

The actor Nikhil Siddhartha said “I apologise to all the Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam Audience for this and promise that after Karthikeya 2 it will be out next upcoming 3 films that will be in theatres in all languages perfectly finished and released on time." The actor also confirmed in the statement that the film gave the highest opening in his career at the Box office and thanked everyone who watched Spy in theatres.
