Koffee With Karan is a renowned talk show that brought the country's biggest stars into our living rooms, with Karan Johar at the helm of affairs. With the ease and comfort unique to long-time friends, he extracted honest, catty, often moving statements and gossip from his superstar guests. The show, which is an enduring part of Bollywood pop culture, sadly will not return for another season. The announcement has left fans of the show disheartened, many of whom urged Karan Johar to reconsider his decision and come back with season 7.

The highly prolific celebrity took to his official Instagram and Twitter handle to share this news captioning the note as "IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT”. The post he shared read, "Hello, Koffee with Karan has been a part of my life, and yours, for 6 seasons now. I'd like to think we've made an impact and even found our place in pop culture history. And so, it is with a heavy heart that I announce that Koffee with Karan will not be returning...-Karan Johar".

But fret not. Though Karan Johar has decided to end the show's run after six glorious seasons, the celebrity talk show will still be available to watch as it will now stream on Disney+ Hotstar. In 2021, Karan Johar hosted special episodes of Koffee With Karan for the streaming major. He invited the cast of Empire and also Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan to promote their film Atrangi Re. The two episodes are exclusively streamed on Disney+ Hotstar.

The final season of the show premiered way back in 2019 while the first season of the talk show premiered in 2004, with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol as guests. Over the span of 15 years, celebrities such as Dhanush, Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Rani Mukerji, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Ranveer Singh, John Abraham, Lara Dutta and many many more have come on the show as guests.
