Jailer is one of the most anticipated films of the year that has 'Superstar' Rajinikanth in the lead role. The film is helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar and is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures. The makers of the film have now released an exciting new announcement about the film. One of the popular production houses of Malayalam film industry, Sree Gokulam Movies, will release the film across Kerala. The production house announced the news with an exciting new poster. They shared it with the caption “Happy to announce that Gokulam Movies will bring Sun Pictures' prestigious film, Rajinkanth's Jailer to Kerala theatres. First time the complete actor Mohanlal is sharing screen space with 'Superstar' Rajinikanth."
This new announcement shows the makers of Jailer are moving ahead in the process of post-production. A few weeks ago Sun Pictures announced that the filming of the movie wrapped with celebration photos featuring actress Tamannaah and 'Superstar' Rajinikanth. With distributors of Kerala announced, more distributors of the film across India and overseas are expected to be announced soon. Sree Gokulam Movies also distributed the blockbuster hit film Ponniyin Selvan 2, recently across Kerala.
Jailer, written and directed by Nelson, has artists from various film industries including Malaylam star Mohanlal, Kannada Superstar Dr Shivrajkumar, Pushpa fame Sunil, popular Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff roped in. Apart from 'Superstar' Rajinikanth, the film also has actress Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan and others in important roles. The film will have music composed by Anirudh Ravichander and the film is set to release in theatres on August 10. Fans await more announcements about the teaser and first single release from the film. It is also speculated that Sivakarthikeyan could have penned lyrics for a song from the film as it's a routine for director Nelson's films to have a song penned by the actor.
