Director of SK21, Rajkumar Periasamy, has tweeted his birthday wishes to Sivakarthikeyan. The filmmaker has conveyed his wishes to the actor on his 38th birthday and further stated that updates on their venture will be coming soon and that the wait will be worthwhile. On his official Twitter handle, Rajkumar Periasamy wrote, "Happy birthday dear brother! You will win more hearts this year & we will watch your Tribe grow! Rajkumar Periasamy previously directed Gautham Karthik-starrer Rangoon. In SK 21, Sai Pallavi is going to share the screen with Sivakarthikeyan for the first time. Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International banner is producing the film along with Mahendran in collaboration with Sony Pictures Films India. Fans are eagerly looking forward to more updates from the SK 21 team as Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming Maaveeran and Ayalaan are carrying tremendous hype and excitement.

The hit actor also has in his lineup the highly-anticipated sci-fi venture Ayalaan currently in its post-production stages, with extensive VFX works being carried out. Sivakarthikeyan will also be teaming up with blockbuster director Venkat Prabhu for a film as well after the duo confirmed their collaboration not long back during a casual chat on social media.
