Sivakarthikeyan's next big film, Maaveeran, is progressing at a steady pace and is now set to deliver a big treat for fans in the days ahead. The upcoming film being directed by Mandela fame Madonne Ashwin under producer Arun Viswa's Shanthi Talkies banner is speculated to open in cinemas for the summer holidays around May. With a major chunk of filming on Maaveeran already completed, the makers on Tuesday, February 1, dropped a hint regarding the film's first single track in their latest announcement. Sharing a poster along the lines of a huge celebration, Shanthi Talkies informed fans to get ready for what's coming next, while also adding a drum emoji, indicating that the first song announcement will be out next. Check out the tweet below:

Maaveeran has music by Bharath Sankar, who impressed everyone with his work in Mandela, and it is going to be interesting to listen to his work in the upcoming Sivakarthikeyan-starrer, which is gearing up to be one of the biggest films of 2023. The film will see the actor-producer paired with youth sensation Aditi Shankar, who became a darling of the masses after her sensational debut in Karthi's Viruman last year. Expectations for Maaveeran shot up during the film's launch last year when the team released an intriguing title announcement promo showing Sivakarthikeyan in an action avatar.

Maaveeran is also releasing in Telugu under the title Mahaveerudu and the film also stars acclaimed filmmaker Mysskin and Telugu actor Sunil of Pushpa fame playing the antagonists, while the supporting cast features Saritha and Yogi Babu in pivotal roles. There were reports a while back stating that Maaveeran had been put on hold, which was soon after dismissed by producer Arun Viswa on Twitter, with a video later released by the team showing them during the celebrations of Sivakarthikeyan completing 11 years in Tamil cinema.
