Silambarasan TR's Pathu Thala is out in theatres and has taken a phenomenal start at the box office with the day 1 collections ringing in at 12.3 crores. Directed by Sillunu Oru Kaadhal fame Obeli N. Krishna and produced by K. E. Gnanavelraja's Studio Green in association with Jayantilal Gada's Pen Studios banner and featuring music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman, the gangster drama has also been declared to be the career-best opening for Simbu, which had come on a working day with no early morning shows. Packaged as a complete commercial entertainer, one of the artistes in Pathu Thala, Madhu Guruswamy, who plays the role of Singha in the film, has now posted a making video showing him in several key sequences alongside STR and the second lead Gautham Karthik.
