Santhosh Narayanan has grown to be a sought-after music director in South India over the last decade. The critically acclaimed composer began his career in Tamil film Industry with Attakathi and is also associated with Malayalam and Telugu films recently. Be it soothing melodies or Thara local folk beats, Santhosh Narayanan has never failed to deliver hits. In 2022, he was a part of six films including Mahaan, Kadaisi Vivasayi, Gulu Gulu, Bufoon, Anel Meley Pani Thuli and Naai Sekar Returns. Mahaan, one of the biggest OTT releases of 2022, had an album that was on the most played list of many.

Santhosh Narayanan sometimes gets candid on Twitter and answers some fans. On Sunday, a fan had raised the question to the composer “Which drug has to (be) taken before composing this music?” with a video of a clip from Naan Naan from Vikram starrer movie Mahaan. The director answered candidly saying “Ha Ha no drugs. Literally had this scene playing in loop”, with a GIF of the mass entry scene of 'Thala' Ajith Kumar in Mankatha, pointing to Mankatha’s hit BGM. The background score of the 2011 film Mankatha by Yuvan Shankar Raja was a trending number that was a ringtone of many fans. It’s interesting and positive to see the director reveal he drew inspiration the tune of another well-known music director in the same industry.

The music composer is now busy with multiple projects at hand. The third single from his next Tamil project, Andhagan, was released recently and fans await the release of more songs from the Telugu film Dasara starring Nani. The composer was speculated to have replaced composer Mickey in the big budget sci-fi flick Project K. In Tamil.
