Santhanam's first release of 2020, Dagaalty, has been announced to come out in theatres on January 31 and the comedian turned hero will no doubt be looking to striking a bigger success than his 2019 hits, Dhilluku Dhuddu 2 and A1. Expectations for Dagaalty have been high ever since it was revealed that Santhanam would be sharing screen space alongside Yogi Babu, another comedian who is at present ruling the roost in Tamil cinema by starring in a majority of projects that are in development.
With the film featuring music by Vijaynarain gearing up for a release in the next few days, promotions are underway in an active manner with a promo for the 'Koththa Koththudhu Boadha' video song being unveiled on the occasion of Santhanam's birthday today. Sung by hit music directors Santhosh Narayanan and 96 fame Govind Vasantha, the 'Koththa Koththudhu Boadha' song is a peppy party tune and is picturized on Santhanam and Yogi Babu having a fun time.
Dagaalty is a joint collaboration of SP Chowdhary’s 18 Reels and Handmade Films banners and has been written and directed by Vijay Anand with Ritika Sen playing the role of the female lead followed by cinematography by Dipak Kumar Padhy, T.S.Suresh for editing, art direction by Jacki, action by Stunt Silva and costume design by Pallavi Singh.
