'Thalapathy' Vijay's Varisu is out in theatres worldwide ahead of the Pongal festivities and has taken a spectacular opening everywhere. The family entertainer directed by Vamshi Paidipally has been drawing family audiences in numbers to cinemas, who have been celebrating the film with a lot of excitement. With Varisu out in theatres, the film's Telugu version titled Vaarasudu has been released in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana on Saturday, January 14 as a grand Sankranthi treat and fans have packed into cinema halls in the Telugu-speaking states to witness Vijay in action.

With Vaarasudu taking a solid strong start in cinemas, singer M.M. Manasi, who sang the chart-topping hit 'Ranjithame', has now come out with an exciting announcement revealing that she has dubbed for 'National Crush' Rashmika Mandanna in the film. The popular musical artiste took to her YouTube channel and revealed the big news for the first time, while also expressing her gratitude to director Vamshi Paidipally. Manasi further informed fans on social media that her sister M.M.Monissha has also done dubbing for Keerthi Shanthanu (Kiki Vijay), who makes a cameo appearance in Vijay's Varisu/Vaarasudu. Rashmika, who plays the female lead in Varisu, is one of the biggest USPs of the film, and is the first time ever she is featured alongside the actor. Fans know the admiration the actress has for the Tamil cinema superstar, which was witnessed during the audio launch last year, including the film's release earlier this week. Produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, Varisu includes music composed by Thaman. S, whose songs continue to reign at the top of the charts and playlists, while his background score has been receiving immense praise as well.
