The next big film of Karthik Subbaraj is Jigarthanda Double X which has Raghava Lawrence and S.J. Suryah in the lead role. The popular director has released an exciting update about the film on his Twitter handle. He announced the shooting of the film has wrapped with a glimpse from the shooting spot of the film. The video begins moving through a fallen hallow tree like structure and the camera moves through it. The video then shows the beginning and end days of the shooting of the project showing 12.12.23 and ended on 28th June 2023. It then shows the entire cast and crew of the film with S.J. Suryah and Raghava Lawrence standing in from of a blue screen and everyone screaming “Jigathanda wrap” and the video ends showing "Getting Ready for Diwali". The crew are celebrating the shooting of the film with a huge cake.
Jigarthanda Double X has created a huge excitement as the production house bankrolling the film 5 Star Creation and Stone Benchers released a small glimpse video in May announcing the film will be a festival release for Diwali this year. With the filming of the movie wrapped more updates should be expected from the makers soon. The S.J. Suryah and Raghava Lawrence starrer also has music composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
Jigarthanda Double X follows the hit film Jigarthanda starring Siddharth and Bobby Simha which was released in 2014. In an exclusive interview with Galatta Media, director Karthik Subbaraj also stated that he wants the movie to become a franchise that will spin around the concept of what happens when crime worries mixes the art world. The filmmaker then explained that it will be like two different worlds coming together and how they both influence each other. The film will also have music composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The film is expected to release before or on 12th November.
