Thangalaan is an upcoming project of Pa. Ranjith with actor 'Chiyaan' Vikram as lead. The film has huge anticipation as the motion poster of the film showed the movie will be something that people have not seen before. This is the next project of the Talented director Pa.Ranjth after hit films Sarpatta Parambarai and Natchathiram Nagargiradhu. The makers have completed filming a huge chunk of filming the project in KGF, as the director stated recently that only 25 days are left. It is expected to be released by this year's end and has an exciting huge supporting cast of Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathy, Parvathy Thiruvothu and British actor Daniel Caltagirone in important roles. The film will also have music composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar.
Producer Dr G. Dhananjayan is one of the well-known producers and founder of BOFTA film institute. He gave an exclusive interview to Galatta Media, where he shared some interesting details about various upcoming projects. Talking about Thangalaan, Dhananjayan said “it's the next stage for Pa. Ranjith sir. Normally, if you see, He has proved in Sarpatta, how big a director he is. He can reflect a period extraordinarily. He shows that Sarpatta happened in the 80s in a astounding way. Even recently, Natchathiram Nagargiradhu won the best film award but he did not come to collect it because he is busy shooting in KGF. Thangalaan is his dream project. Thangaalan shows a long period of time. It shows what happened in a person’s life over 70 years from 1870 to 1940. Nearly 70 years, what happened in KGF, how KGF was created, and what is the role of a person called Thangalaan in it? He shows his lifetime."
