Actor 'Thalapathy' Vijay is celebrating his 49th birthday today. The upcoming film of the actor is titled Leo helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film has created a huge excitement as it's the second collaboration from the actor and director combo after Master. Dhananjayan is a popular producer and an industry insider in Tamil cinema. He gave an exclusive interview to Galatta Media and shared some exciting details about Vijay’s upcoming films. When asked why the actor is doing films back to back and about Thalapathy 68 announcement, he said, “he(Vijay) is very clear that every year there should be at least one or two film releases for me and that he must be busy”.

The producer Dhananjayan then explained how 'Thalapathy' Vijay would select his next directors. He said actor Vijay would not keep listening to stories but will keep choosing directors. He will keep seeing who can take him to the next level and who will have a good story for him. “There won't be 10-15 people in it but there will be 4-5 people. He'll see if they have a script for him.”. He said they will keep monitories and he said he liked Makatha and there is a huge excitement in Venkat Prabhu. He said Maanaadu is a complicated script and Venkat Prabhu did it too. The producer then revealed that Actor "Vijay heard the script 10-12 months ago and assured we will do it. After that I don't think he heard any script. Rightly when people were approaching for a film after Leo. There was a discussion and they announced the film." He said "after Maanaadu itself, he heard the story and said let's wait and see about the production hous. Then as AGS Production approached him he agreed to do a film with them."

The film Thalapathy 68 was announced last month. It's being produced by AGS Entertainment directed by Venkat Prabhu and will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
