Indian-Hollywood actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas will be next seen in the Prime Video series, Citadel, scheduled to premiere on April 28. The upcoming science fiction action thriller television series created by David Weil with Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo acting as executive producers also stars Richard Madden, who is best known playing Robb Stark in Game of Thrones and Ikaris in the Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero film, Eternals. With the six-episode first season of Citadel set to premiere in less than two weeks and a second season also renewed by Amazon Prime Video, Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden sat down for an interview with National Award-winning film critic Baradwaj Rangan, the Editor-in-Chief of Galatta Plus to talk about the highly-anticipated action spy thriller series.

Regarding what made her agree to Citadel, Priyanka Chopra said, "There's nothing like this one out there. I mean that spies have intrigued us as normal people for the longest time because it's a damn intriguing job with betrayal, lies, the suspension of disbelief and there's so much to be done. But, I think what is amazing about Citadel is that it's very character forward and it's not just about the plot twists and the stunts." She added, "You see what is happening between the characters, their relationships and you're really invested in the people that are doing the fun, cool things that you think. And, I think that's what's really different is that you start getting invested in them as people."

Upon being asked to give an elevated pitch about Citadel to the Indian audiences, Richard Madden said, "It's a hard one to give an elevated pitch because we span so many different timelines and different characters. What I will say is it's about a global intelligence agency and the thing that's really intriguing about it is what we're establishing is that it exists in every country. So, they could be in the house next to your's where you are at home and there's something about that a gateway into this world which says there's a lot going on behind the scenes right in front of you."
