Ashok Selvan has hit a high note once again with his latest film, Por Thozhil, which is going strong in cinemas and has turned out to be a huge box-office success while basking in massive critical acclaim. The psychological thriller movie sees the actor playing the role of a cop alongside Sarathkumar and Nikhila Vimal under debutant Vignesh Raja's direction. With Por Thozhil turning out to be a big hit, a special fans festival event was organized by Galatta Media in the presence of eager fans, which also saw Vignesh Raja taking part in the gala occasion while being joined by Oh My Kadavule director Ashwath Marimuthu.

Speaking at the Ashok Selvan fans festival, both Vignesh Raja and Ashwath Marimuthu shared several unknown secrets about the Nitham Oru Vaanam actor, including a funny incident involving him during his college days at the Gemini Flyover in Chennai. Oh My Kadavule director Ashwath said, "You need to think why a person would climb a statue at the Gemini bridge in the middle of the night. You need to wonder what his state of mind must be at that time. You think about it from a psychological point of view as to why he must have done this." Por Thozhil director Vignesh Raja then chimed in saying, "The American Consulate is right next to the Gemini bridge. He went there and did a lot of mischief. It didn't end there. Authorities were tracking him for a week."

During the Ashok Selvan fans festival, Oh My Kadavule director Ashwath Marimuthu revealed how he had great confidence in Vignesh Raja's story and how Por Thozhil was destined to become a hit from the get-go. Ashok Selvan too added saying Ashwath was the first to say after watching Por Thozhil that the film is going to be a hit.
