Devanand, a popular rap singer from Madurai, was kidnapped when he was returning home after performing in Chennai at knife point. Reporters have stated that Police have begun investigating the incident. It is said that the rap singer performed in a private party hall in Nungambakkam yesterday night to commemorate the International Music Day. After the event, the rap singer was traveling in a car to his home with his friends. As they were travelling home, near Maduravoyal, a bikee had scratched the car he was travelling in. It is said that they had to stop the car to check if they were any scratches and while his friend was checking, 10 people came in another car and kidnapped the rap singer at knife point.

This incident has become the topic of discussion on social media and the news has become viral. It is said that he was kidnapped because Devanand's Brother has taken a loan of over Rs.2.5 crores from a person and there were disputes regarding this. But, the police are investigating if this has anything to do with the kidnapping of the independent artist. The incident that happened on Wednesday night has come has shock to fans and made headlines.
