Pathu Thala is an upcoming film starring STR in the lead role. It is a remake of the Kannada film Mufti. It is directed by Sillunu Oru Kadhal fame Obeli N Krishnan and will be the first massive release of Silambarasan TR for the year after the blockbuster hit movie Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu that was released last year. Fans can expect the film to be a massive action-thriller with fast-paced action and fight sequences. Pathu Thala has music by Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman and a single from the movie called Namma Satham was released last month and instantly became a chart-topper. Priya Bhavani Shankar, who is playing the role of a Tehsildar, with Kalaiyarasan, Teejay Arunasalam, Redin Kingsley, Anu Sithara, Manushyaputhiran among others in important roles in the film. The film is bankrolled by K.E.Gnanavelraja under the banner Studio green. It will have DOP by Farook J Basha, Editing by Praveen KL and Art by Milan.
