Two-time National Award-winning Tamil actor Dhanush showered praises in his review for Maamannan directed by acclaimed filmmaker Mari Selvaraj. The leading actor took to social media on Wednesday, June 28, to reveal that he has watched the upcoming Mari Selvaraj directorial while appreciating 'Vaigai Puyal' Vadivelu and Udhayanidhi Stalin for their performances in the film. Dhanush also lauded Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil and actress Keerthy Suresh for their roles in Maamannan, while complimenting Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman's work. Concluding his Maamannan review, Dhanush hinted about the film's interval block saying it will without doubt receive a huge response. The actor tweeted, "Maamannan by @mari_selvaraj is an emotion ♥ï¸ A big hug to you Mari. Vadivelu sir and @Udhaystalin have delivered a very convincing performance. Dhanush's words of appreciation for Maamannan is the first big review for the film from a leading celebrity and his statement has no doubt raised the curiosity and the excitement. Both Mari Selvaraj and Udhayanidhi Stalin have responded to the Vaathi actor's recent statement extending their gratitude to him for his words of support for their film. Mari Selvaraj tweeted back in response and wrote, "Siiirrrr!!! Thank you so much for these heart warming words my dearest @dhanushkraja sirâ¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸!! Extremely overwhelmed with gratitude!! Likewise, Udhayanidhi Stalin replied back saying, "ðŸ™ðŸ¼ Dhanush .. thx for everything .. without your support #MAAMANNAN wouldn’t have happened (sic)".
Produced under the Red Giant Movies banner, Maamannan is coming out with tremendous buzz and is Mari Selvaraj's third directorial after he impressed audiences with his work in Pariyerum Perumal (2018) and Karnan (2021). Dhanush praising Mari Selvaraj has come at a time when the duo is set to collaborate on a project soon, the tentatively titled Production No. 15, being produced by the actor's Wunderbar Films banner in association with Zee Studios.
