'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo is being filmed in Kashmir for over a month and the excitement for the film has been massive ever since it was revealed that the Tamil superstar and blockbuster director Lokesh Kanagaraj are collaborating for the second time after their box office hit, Master, in 2021. Being produced by Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studio, the upcoming film is set to be launched in theatres worldwide as a grand Ayudha pooja release on October 19, with the buzz skyrocketing with each passing day. As production continues to progress in Kashmir, Leo co-producer Jagadish Palanisamy has now hinted the possibility of the film's promotions during the 2023 Cricket World Cup, which have been announced to be held in India and will reportedly begin on October 5.

The first big hint of Vijay's Leo's promotions during the World Cup 2023 was noticed when Jagadish liked a tweet on Twitter suggesting that the film is releasing in the same month as the global cricket championship event. Earlier, the poster of Vijay's Mersal along with a promo cut from the film's teaser were shown on the big screen during an India vs Australia match at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai when former Indian team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was at the batting crease. With the 2023 World Cup set to take place in several cities across India, there is a likelihood that a match for the Indian Cricket team will be held in Chennai, which would give the Leo team a chance to put the word out about the film to audiences watching the sporting event around the globe.

Leo is the fourth Vijay film for composer Anirudh Ravichander after he delivered chart-topping tunes and thunderous background scores in Kaththi (2014), Master (2021), and Beast (2022), and expectations have been huge right from get-go for him to come out with yet another memorable album. The film includes a stellar star cast featuring the likes of Trisha Krishnan as the female lead, Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist, followed by 'Action King' Arjun, filmmakers Mysskin and Gautham Menon, Priya Anand, Mansoor Ali Khan, choreographer Sandy master, Malayalam actors Mathew Thomas and Babu Antony, among others, who will be appearing in key roles.
