The director of Lal Salaam, Aishwarya Rajinikanth, had revealed the character name that will be played by the actor as 'Thirunavukarasu' as a treat on Vishnu Vishal's birthday. The film will also have ‘Superstar' Rajinikanth in an important role, and he will play the role of 'Moideen Bhai' in the film. The Jailer star also wrapped up filming his portions last month. It is expected that the film is in the last stages of filming as one of the lead actors, Vishnu Vishal, has wrapped up his portions.

The film is bankrolled by Subaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions. The first schedule of the film was wrapped in Mumbai, and later they shot some portions of Chennai and Pondicherry.
