Vikram has turned out to be a stellar success in the domestic circuit after actor-politician Udhayanidhi Stalin expressed his surprise at the film's phenomenal performance at the box office on Friday. Presenting the film under his Red Giant Movies banner, the producer-distributor revealed that the Kamal Haasan-starrer, which also includes 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, and Suriya among others, is set to break more box office records this weekend in Tamil Nadu. Vikram also marks the comeback of Kamal Haasan to the big screen after a nearly four-year gap when he was last seen in Vishwaroopam II in 2018 and his return has no doubt turned out to be truly magical.

Kamal Haasan has reprised his role from the 1986 film Vikram in the latest Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial, which has Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist, followed by Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil as the commander of a black-ops squad, including Suriya making an intense and fiery cameo appearance, while a host of stars forming the ensemble supporting cast. The film also features music by Anirudh Ravichander, who has once again hit the high note and is yet another feather in his cap.
