The teaser of the much-awaited drama thriller Jalsa is out and as expected. The film is highly likely to keep the viewers on the edge of their seats. Directed by Suresh Triveni, the film stars Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah in the main roles. In this intriguing 50-second clip, both Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah are seen in a tense situation during a thrilling tale of a night that changed it all. Other members of the cast include Manav Kaul, Rohini Hattangadi, Iqbal Khan, Vidhatri Bandi, Shrikant Mohan Yadav, Shafeen Patel and Surya Kasibhatla, The film is all set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 18.

The two powerhouse performers coming together guarantees a hard-hitting, thought-provoking entertainment. The official teaser leaves you with multiple unanswered questions. From the teaser, one can assume that Vidya is to play the role of a journalist who wants to dig deeper into a story. On the other hand, Shefali Shah essays the role of a cook who is seen frantically running in the dead of night with a boy who seems to be her son.

The film is produced by T-Series with Abundantia Entertainment marking the seventh collaboration between the two companies following films like Chhorii, Durgamati, Ram Setu, and the popular Amazon Original series Breathe. It is also marks the third collaboration between Prime Video and Balan after Shakuntala Devi and Sherni. Suresh Triveni has also previously worked with Vidya Balan back in 2017 on the critically acclaimed Tumhari Sulu in 2017.
