'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Jailer is all clear for its grand release in theatres from August 10 and promotions for the highly-anticipated film are in full throttle. A Sun Pictures production venture, the upcoming mass action entertainer has been directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and features music composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander and is currently one of the biggest and most-awaited films of 2023. With the Jailer audio launch held last week in a grand manner at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai telecast on Sun TV on Sunday, August 6, the first of the film's promos have now been attached with the event's broadcast and gives Rajinikanth's fans a glimpse at a few new visuals.
The Jailer promo 1 primarily shows Rajinikanth as a dutiful family man and spending a majority of his time with his grandson played by Rithvik. We also see Taramani and Rocky fame Vasanth Ravi as Rajinikanth's son and police officer, with the visuals set around the breezy 'Rathamaarey' song sung by Vishal Mishra to the heartfelt lyrics penned by the multi-talented Vignesh Shivan. There are also moments showing Rajinikanth and Ramya Krishnan as a married couple and celebrating an important and special occasion with actress Mirnaa Menon also seen in the latest Jailer promo.
Jailer will showcase Rajinikanth on the big screen for the first time since his Annaatthe (2021) and fans will be expecting to see him come out firing on all cylinders. The film features a huge ensemble star cast that includes big names like Kannada superstar Dr. Shivarajkumar and iconic Malayalam actor Mohanlal, who will be seen in important cameos. Jailer also has Bollywood star Jackie Shroff, Tamannaah, Yogi Babu, and Pushpa fame Sunil to name a notable few in key roles, while Vinayakan of Mariyan fame is playing the antagonist.
