Popular YouTuber Vijay Kumar Rajendran, who became a sensation with viral videos on his channel Eruma Saani, has tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Nakshatra Murthy, a model and fashion designer. The couple got married in a traditional wedding ceremony on Wednesday in the presence of family members and close friends, with photos and videos trending on social media and wishes pouring in from well-wishers and fans. Both Vijay and Nakshatra had been in a relationship for many years and recently announced the news of their engagement and wedding after seeking blessings from both their families.
Sharing a photo from the wedding ceremony on Instagram, Vijay wrote in the caption, "Just married", along with a red heart emoji and the hashtag #vijaynakshatrakalynam, while also tagging Nakshatra. In the photo, we see Vijay looking sharp in a white shirt and veshti, while Nakshatra is at her gorgeous best in a cream-orange saree, which she has complemented with gold jewelry. Several YouTube stars and personalities from the Tamil film and television fraternity are said to have attended Vijay and Nakshatra's wedding celebrations and wished the newly-married couple ahead of the next big phase in their lives.
Apart from garnering a name as a YouTuber, 'Eruma Saani' Vijay, as he is called by fans, made his debut in Tamil cinema in the Hip Hop Tamizha-starrer Meesaya Murukku, which went on to become a blockbuster in 2017. He once again made an appearance in a key role in Hip Hop Adhi's Naan Sirithal in 2020, which as well became a big success at the box office. Vijay Kumar Rajendran shifted gears and surprised everyone by turning director and made his filmmaking debut in 2022 with D Block, which had Arulnithi in the lead role. The YouTuber-turned-filmmaker also appeared in a supporting role in the psycho-thriller, which received a mixed response.
