Dushara Vijayan is a popular actress who breaks through roles in Sarpatta Parambarai. Recently, the actress sat down for an exclusive interview with the national award-winning film critic, Baradwaj Rangan, the editor-in-chief of Galatta Plus. During the interview, the actress shared some insights about her career and the character she played. When asked about the first scene in which she appeared in front of the camera. The actress said the line she first spoke in front of the camera and said "it was for a short film titled Kannamma".

The actress then revealed that the first film that she acted in was Bodhai Yeri Budhi Maari and said that she got the opportunity when she was studying at NIFT. Dushara Vijayan said she wanted to use the opportunities she got and she did not know a way into the cinema as there were no actors or people she knew from the cinema. “One intuition kept pushing me”, said the actress and added that she thought to herself that that film would be the beginning. She said that the director liked her performance and she did her second film under the same production house titled Anbudan Ghilli, “It did not show Dushara as an actor. When I was waiting for the limelight I got the opportunity to play Mariamma" said the actress. She also said that before that she had acted in many short films and also tried her hand in anchoring in a Television show.

Dushara Vijayan who also played the female lead in the recent film Kazhuvethi Moorkkan said she then attend workshops headed by Cook With Comali fame Mime Gopi as the production house advised.
