Famous PR and celebrity management company Done Channel announced on their official Twitter account that director Magizh Thirumeni does not have any social media handles. They further requested media, fans, and the general audience to stay away from fake IDs. The director was rumored to be replacing director Vignesh Shivan in the Lyca production's upcoming venture AK 62 (The title of the film is yet to be revealed). Ever since then, Magizh Thirumeni became a social media sensation. To avoid scams and other unwanted issues, they decided to officially announce the information.

Magizh Thirumeni debuted as a director in the movie Mundhinam Paartheney starring newcomers Sanjay, Ekta Ghosla, Lizna, Pooja, and Sai Prashanth in lead roles. His second film, Thadaiyara Thaakka, is an action thriller starring Arun Vijay and Mamta Mohandas, which eventually became a hit film. Magizh then directed Meaghamann, an action thriller starring Arya and Hansika Motwani that was released in December 2014 to positive reviews. Thadam, his next film, marked his second collaboration with Arun Vijay. It was released in March 2019 to overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. It became his first blockbuster and is regarded as one of Arun Vijay's best films. He then collaborated with Udhayanidhi Stalin and his banner Red Gaint Movies and made Kalaga Thalaivan. The movie also starred Nidhi Agarwal and Arav in important roles and eventually became a massive hit with good reviews from critics and the audience.

He gave voice to veteran Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap's Tamil acting debut in Imaikka Nodigal. The film got Magizh Thirumeni much appreciation for his voice acting. He also debuted as an actor in the movie Teddy starring Arya and Sayyesha Saigal in the lead roles. His next venture as an actor is for the Vijay Sethupathi-Starrer Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir directed by Venkata Krishna Roghanth.
