Blockbuster Tamil director Gautham Vasudev Menon dropped a double surprise announcement on Sunday evening, July 16, about the much-awaited Dhruva Natchathiram second single 'His Name is John'. Taking to social media, the filmmaker revealed that a special promo from the highly-anticipated 'Chiyaan' Vikram-starrer will be released on Monday, July 17 at 11 a.m. followed by the launch of the full song on Wednesday, July 19. Sharing a new poster of Dhruva Natchathiram's second single 'His Name is John' featuring Vikram amidst a desert backdrop similar to Daniel Craig's James Bond-data-style attire from Quantum of Solace (2008), Gautham Menon wrote on Twitter, "Brace yourselves for the promo of #HisNameIsJohn Releasing tomorrow at 11 AM Full song from Wednesday, 19th July! (sic)".
'His Name is John' is coming out in the midst of huge expectations after the first Dhruva Natchathiram song 'Oru Manam' released back in 2020 became a chart-topping hit, with fans since then waiting for a new glimpse of the upcoming spy thriller. There is massive excitement as fans also look forward to what the hit composer Harris Jayaraj, Gautham Menon, and lyricst Thamarai trio have in store, with promotions for the film also set to take flight after the release of the song. Of late, Gautham Menon too has been speaking quite a lot about the release plans of Dhruva Natchathiram stating that the film is ready to be screened in theatres, and all eyes will now be on what date he, Vikram, and the team zero in on.
Dhruva Natchathiram wrapped up production earlier this year in March after six years of shooting and fans are now finally geared up to witness the massive action teased in the promotional material released up until now. The espionage action thriller will see 'Chiyaan' Vikram appearing alongside an ensemble star cast that includes Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, Simran, Parthiban, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Dhivyadharshini, Vinayakan, Arjun Das, Vamsi Krishna, Sathish Krishnan, Munna Simon, Salim Baig, Maya S.
