Santhanam is one of the most popular actors in the Tamil film industry, who is known for starring in comedy films. The recent film featuring the actor was DD Returns, which was released in theatres today. The film has been well received by audiences in theatres. Ahead of the release of the film, talented actor Santhanam gave an exclusive interview to Galatta Media; it was also his first car interview. When asked which film he regrets acting in, Santhanam said, "I acted in a film when I was a comedian; that film was titled ‘Yen Kannil En Pattai’ or ‘Yen Kannil En Vizhundhai’ or something."

Actor Santhanam then explained that the crew of that film would call him one day to shoot some scenes and say it's a schedule, and they would call them the next year. The actor said, "The heroine got old; the hero got old; My career progressed. I don't know why they did that. But, they would call me when needed, and that shoot went on for four to five years." Santhanam then shared an interesting incident from the shooting spot of the film, saying they took him in a car to a highway, left him on the road, give him a walkie-talkie, and took off in a car to shoot from it. The DD Returns actor added said, "They said to me in the walkie-talkie to do a comedy; they said it was a comedy scene, and they do not have road permission and I had to do it immediately. He was alone on the road and did not know how to perform the comedy there. That is when I thought about why I got caught in their eyes. Like this, some films have happened. During the upcoming stage, some things like this will happen. Then I took a pause and chose the right films."
