Arun Matheswaran is a upcoming filmmaker who directed two films and his next project is with the talented actor Dhanush. He made his debut with the film titled Rocky which received a positive response, from critics. The film was released in theatres on December 23, 2021. The film had Taramani fame actor Vasanth Ravi, veteran director Bharathi Raja and Love Today fame Raveen Ravi in lead roles The film also had music composed by Mudhal Nee Mudivum Nee fame Darbuka Siva. The film was distributed by Vignesh Shiva and Nayanthara's Rowdy Pictures. Though the film was reported to be a commercial success, it was not released on any OTT platform. A Twitter user recently asked his question to the director saying when the film will release on OTT and that he has been waiting for its release. The director has replied to the tweet saying “I wish I had an answer”

The film shows Keerthy Suresh in a new light in the film and was welcomed well by the audience. The next film of the director that is in line is Captain Miller. It has Dhanush playing the lead and the periodical film is touted to be set in the 1930s the film also has Priyanka Arul Mohan playing the female lead. It has created huge anticipation among people and has been a topic of discussion. The makers had revealed a new poster of the film and shared the teaser and trailer release plans for the film. The recent tweet by Arun Matheswaran shows he is also desperate for the release of Rocky on OTT.
