Samuthirakani is a popular director turned actor who has done support and antagonistic role in many films. The director has made many hit films and his recent film that was released was Vinodhaya Sitham. Apart from Tamil the actor has recently began acting in Telugu films and his upcoming film as lead actor in Telugu is Vimanam. Samuthirakani is directing a film in Telugu that is the official remake of his recent directorial venture. The film has popular Telugu star Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej in lead role. The film was tentatively titled PKSDT and now the makers have released a motion poster and release date of the film. The makers have revealed that the film will be titled BRO.
The motion poster of the film BRO shows Pawan Kalyan’s first look from the film and the poster shows a statue of lord Shiva in the background. The title is then revealed showing a clock and a still of Pawan Kalyan in then shown with Mandela's artworks forming the background. The video then shows the other cast and crew of the film. It is to be written and directed by Samuthirakani with Screenplay and Dialogue by Trivikram. The film is to be produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under People Media Factory in collaboration with Zee Studios. The film will have music by composer Thaman S.
Samuthirakani and Thambi Ramaiah would play the lead roles in Vinodhaya Sitham which had fantasy comedy and drama elements. The film premiered on the OTT streaming platform Zee 5. From the post, it looks like Pawan Kalyan will play the role played by Samuthirakani as the god of time and Sai Dharam Tej could play the role played by Thambi Ramaiah in BRO. The makers have shared it with the tag BRO The Avatar and the film is set to release in theatres on July 28.
