Acclaimed Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and his ex-wife Aarti Bajaj's daughter Aaliyah Kashyap got engaged to her boyfriend Shane Gregoire in an intimate ceremony in the presence of family members and close friends on Thursday, August 3, in Mumbai. Photos and videos of the young couple's engagement ceremony have taken social media by storm, with congratulatory messages pouring in from well-wishers in the Hindi film industry and fans. Aaliyah too has posted photos from the engagement ceremony with Shane on Instagram, while reposting a few posts on her Instagram stories.
Aaliyah Kashyap and Shane Gregoire held a special engagement party yesterday, which saw star kids grace the occasion, including Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan, producer Boney Kapoor's daughter Khushi Kapoor, Akshat Rajan, Muskan Chanana, and Aditi Bhatia, who were the first ones to take part in the celebrations. Anurag Kashyap's ex-wife Kalki Koechlin too attended the engagement bash along with her daughter Sappho and boyfriend Guy Hershberg, while filmmakers Imtiaz Ali and Vikramaditya Motwane joined in on the celebrations. Aaliyah Kashyap was seen in a white raw silk lehenga, which was designed by renowned designer Anita Dongre. Pairing her lehenga, which was covered in sequin work and multicolored flower embroidery, with a matching round-neck blouse, she looked gorgeous, while Shane was at his dashing best in an ivory-white sherwani and a light-green embroidery jacket. Aaliyah and Shane announced their engagement back in May in Bali, Indonesia along with pictures showing them passionately kissing each other.
As for Anurag Kashyap, the filmmaker's next big directorial, Kennedy, a neo-noir thriller film, premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival in May to rave reviews. He is also set to be seen in a pivotal role in his upcoming Tamil film, Leo, releasing in theatres on October 19, which stars 'Thalapathy' Vijay in the lead role under Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction.
