During one of his concerts at Vellore Institute of Technology in Chennai, singer Benny Dayal was injured by a drone that was reportedly capturing footage of the event. The drone fell and hit the back of his head, causing him to sustain injuries to his fingers as well. The incident was shared by the singer on his Instagram handle, where he posted a video explaining what had happened. Benny Dayal expressed his disappointment at the lack of safety measures in place to prevent such incidents from occurring and urged others to take precautions to ensure their safety during events. He further spoke, "I just want to express three things; One thing is that definitely all artists from here on, make sure you have a clause in your technical writer saying that the drone cannot come that close to any artist while they performing because your movement and their movement cannot be coordinated unless or until you have a person who's specifically working with you on drones. Second thing, please all colleges, companies, show event organizers, please get a certified drone operator, because it's very dangerous. third and the most foremost, drone operators, I just want to tell you one thing. We all are artistes, we all are just singing on stage. We are Vijay or Ajith or Salman Khan or some action film. You don't have to do all those stunts. Just do a regular show. we just want to look nice and it shouldn't come so close and hurt the artist."

In the video, he also expressed gratitude towards everyone who offered support and prayers for his quick recovery after the drone incident during his concert. He mentioned that he believes his parents' prayers will reflect in his recovery, and he will soon be alright. The Galatta team also wishes the talented singer a speedy recovery.
