Tamil television actress Shruthi Shanmugapriya has put forward a request regarding the false rumors and news surrounding her late husband Arvind Shekhar's death. Appearing in a video on Instagram on Friday, August 4, she said, "Many people came in person and gave us support and strength after Arvind's passing away. I wish to express my gratitude to you all. He's always with me. During such a difficult time, the main reason I'm appearing on video after setting aside all the formalities is that many YouTube channels are spreading unwanted information without knowing what's really happening. If you require information, you can get it from what I'm speaking now. Kindly don't hurt my family members by saying unnecessary things and this is my request to all the YouTube channels." Shruti added, "He died of cardiac arrest and we're trying to come out of the pain. Saying things like he's a bodybuilder, and a trainer, and that he passed away during training at the gym are all false. He's a civil engineer and was a passionate fitness enthusiast."

Yesterday, Shruthi shared the news of her husband Arvind's demise on Wednesday, August 2, on Instagram with a photo of their time together and penned a heartfelt emotional statement in his memory. She wrote, "It’s just the body that parted. But Your soul and mind surrounds and protects me now and forever ! Rest in peace my love @arvind__shekar (sic)". She added, "My love for you is getting more and more now and we’ve already had hell a lotta memories with each other that I’ll cherish for lifetime. Miss you and love you more Arvind ! Feeling your presence next to me 😘 (02/08/2023) #loveyouhusband (sic)". Shruthi Shanmugapriya, who is known for her roles in Tamil serials notably Nadhaswaram, Barathi Kannamma, Kalyana Parisu, Vani Rani, and Ponnoonjal, tied the knot with Arvind Shekar nearly a year ago and recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary.
