Avatar: The Way of Water is an upcoming American epic sci-fi film directed by James Cameron. Produced under the banner of 20th Century Studios, it will serve as the second film in Cameron's Avatar franchise, following the blockbuster smash shit Avatar which hit the screens back in 2009. Now, nearly 13 years later, the second installment of this franchise is all set for a worldwide theatrical release on 16 December 2022.

Recently, there have been multiple articles and posts written that suggest the run time of Avatar: The Way of Water would be 3 hours and 10 minutes. But that is not all. Various Chinese and New Zealand theatre websites also suggest that the film would be 190 minutes long. If this turns out to be true, it would beat its predecessor Avatar movie by approximately 28 minutes. With a movie that long, we hope it can keep the audience engaged. But on the bright side, stanch fans of the film are in for a treat.

With each passing second, minute, day and week, the hype around the film is just getting bigger and bigger. So much so that they are more than excited and cannot wait for the film. And in order to keep the hype going, the makers of the film have been dropping various glimpses and snippets from the film. They have even collaborated with a toy company to make toys from the film.

Cast members Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Giovanni Ribisi, Dileep Rao, and Matt Gerald will be seen reprising their roles from the original film, while new cast members include Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, Michelle Yeoh, Brendan Cowell, and Vin Diesel. The following three sequels to Avatar: The Way of Water have been scheduled to release very two years on 20 December 2024, 18 December 2026, and 22 December 2028 respectively. With a whopping budget of $250 million, Avatar 2 is one of the most expensive films ever to be made.
