Ashok Selvan is a prominent actor in the Tamil film industry known for his roles in Soodhu Kavvum, Thegidi, and Oh My Kadavule and his recent film that was released was the feel-good entertainer Nitham Oru Vaanam. The next film of the young actor is Por Thozhil. He is set to share screen space with Sarath Kumar for the first time in the film. The title of the film was released on 18th April and now the makers have revealed another important detail about the film. They have revealed a first look of the film and the release date has also been announced.

The first look poster shows that Sarath Kumar and Ashok Selvan will play cops in the film Por Thozhil. From the poster, fans can deduct Sarath Kumar could be a serious police officer and he's holding a pistol in the picture. Ashok Selvan looks like a newbie cop with a Tamil Nadu Police Handbook. The poster shows that the film could be set in the 80s or the 90s and also shows a pin-up board with many clues and a bloodied hand print and there are a lot of books on the table. The first look created an interest in the film that is directed by the debutant director Vignesh Raja.

Por Thozhil will be the big screen debut of the director Vignesh Raja, who has also directed a part of the indie anthology “I Hate You I Love You”. It is to be produced by Appluse Entertainment in association with E4 Entertainment and Eprius Studio. Malayalam actress Nikhila Vimal is also said to be a part of the film. Actor Sarath Kumar has been acting in many important films in recent years, as he was a part of the recent blockbuster hit film Ponniyin Selvan, 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Varisu, Custody, etc. As Por Thozhil is set to release on June 9, more update can be expetced in the coming days.
