A. R. Ameen, the son of music composer A. R. Rahman, had a close call with a huge accident on a set where he was performing. He shared on his Instagram account that chandeliers and other objects suddenly fell from above and crashed down onto the set. Fortunately, Ameen was unharmed, but he admitted that he still feels traumatized three days after the incident. He also posted pictures on Instagram showing the set before and after the accident. He further wrote, "I am thankful to the Almighty, my parents, family, well-wishers, and my spiritual teacher that I am safe and alive today. Just three nights ago, I was shooting for a song and I trusted the team @myqyuki to have taken care of the engineering and safety, while I was focusing on performing in front of the camera. The whole truss and chandeliers that were suspended from a crane came crashing down while I was right in the middle of the spot. If it were a few inches here and there, a few seconds earlier or later, the whole rig would have fallen on our heads. My team and I are shell-shocked and unable to recover from the trauma."

After A. R. Ameen shared his traumatizing experience, his sister Raheema Rahman expressed her support by commenting, "God's grace, my brother. We are here for you."

A. R. Ameen started his career as a playback singer with the Tamil film O Kadhal Kanmani in 2015, singing the song Maula Wa Sallim. He has since sung in various Indian languages and contributed to the song Never Say Goodbye in the movie Dil Bechara, starring Sushant Singh Rajput. His most recent song was Sooravalli Ponnu for the Atrangi Re's Tamil-dubbed version of Galatta Kalyanam starring Dhanush in which he sang along with Nakul Abhyankar, Varun Uday, Darshan Kt, and Sharanya Srinivas.
