Ajith Kumar and Shalini celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on Monday and fans continue to send in their congratulatory messages and wishes to Tamil cinema's power couple. The former actress has now posted a super romantic photo on Instagram from their wedding anniversary celebrations, which is taking social media by storm. The monochrome black and white picture with the caption, "23 yrs…ðŸ’ðŸ’ðŸ’" seems to have been clicked sometime back and shows Ajith and Shalini celebrating the special occasion with a big hug and a special anniversary cake.
In the picture, Ajith is wearing a formal shirt in his salt and pepper look and a thick beard, with Shalini seen in a strap gown, which she has paired with minimal accessories. The photo seems to have been clicked sometime during the shooting of Thunivu last year as the actor was recently spotted with a stubble in Nepal during his bike trip. Unarguably one of the most loved couples in Tamil cinema, Ajith fell in love with Shalini on the sets of his 25th film, Amarkalam, released in 1999. They got married a year later in a grand wedding ceremony on April 24, 2000, and have been blessed with two children - daughter Anoushka (15) and son Aadvik (8). Check out their pic below:
On the work front, Ajith will soon begin shooting for his next big film, the tentatively titled AK 62, under Magizh Thirumeni's direction. The upcoming film will be produced by Lyca Productions after the blockbuster banner recently tasted massive success by distributing the Tamil superstar's Thunivu overseas. As production on AK 62 is expected to begin soon, the film also marks the big reunion of chart-buster composer Anirudh Ravichander with Ajith after the duo's Vivegam in 2017. Fans expect an official word about the film in the days ahead considering the actor will be celebrating his birthday on May 1 and all eyes will be on Lyca Productions to drop that big update.
